Volumetric Capture of Justin Bieber for Free Fire

When Free Fire brought Justin Bieber into the game as a playable character, the brief came down to one thing: a digital avatar convincing enough to carry a global artist’s name. We provided the volumetric capture and 3D digitisation behind it.

We captured Bieber using a synchronised multi-camera array, recording every angle simultaneously to build the full volumetric dataset a game-ready character needs… not a single scan stitched together, but a complete real-time-compatible 3D representation from the ground up. Facial geometry, surface detail and expression data all had to hold up both in dynamic gameplay and in the promotional content built around the launch.

The resulting assets were processed and optimised for Free Fire’s engine, tuned to the fidelity a production of this profile expects when the character on screen has a name people already recognise.

This is the part of our work people notice least and probably enjoy most: a global artist becomes a playable character, and the volumetric capture behind it is what makes the likeness actually land. It’s a different brief from a film set, but the same underlying standard… get the person right, or don’t bother.
