Sustainability shows up twice in our work: as a subject we help tell stories about, and as a discipline we apply to our own operations. On the storytelling side, projects like TREE used LiDAR and photogrammetry to transform an ancient oak into an immersive climate-awareness artwork. On the operational side, our Sustainable Innovation membership commits us to measuring and reducing the footprint of capture work itself.
The deeper argument, though, is structural: 3D capture is one of the few production technologies that actively removes carbon from filmmaking. A location scanned once becomes a digital twin that eliminates return travel, reshoots and rebuilt sets. Virtual scouting replaces recces; LED-volume shoots replace flights. The posts under this tag make that case with real projects rather than pledges. If your production or organisation is trying to reconcile ambitious visuals with a shrinking carbon budget, this is exactly the conversation we want to have.
